I don’t think you can ever be more than just a tolerable writer, if you don’t read – how else could you learn what works and what doesn’t?
Lovely poem π
Like many conversations, people are often too concerned with saying what they want to say that they don’t sit up and listen to what others have to say back. People ever conversations and discussions with their minds made up and never challenge their own viewpoint because they block out all noise. I love the fact that the internet pesticides a platform for anyone to publish their thoughts on anything they choose, but it concerns me how one sided the conversation has become.
I read it.

Well, at least on the internet no one is under any social obligation to listen to someone without anything to say π
The phrase “social obligation” made my skin crawl a little.
Well, a lot of the Western culture is build up around the concept
And my wholesale rejection of that has landed me in trouble on more than one occasion. I remain unrepentant.
For me true friendship is when there are no social obligations π
As far as I’m concerned there never are
Which might go some way towards explaining why I have so few friends… Still, quality, not quantity, right?
Well, I have both friends and acquaintances, and I do follow social conventions in regards to my acquaintances… usually π
I have contractual obligations I guess. But I refuse to submit to the yoke of societal diktat. There’s a Nietzsche quote that works here but I use it so often it’s threatening to become a clichΓ©
Seems like you’re making your life unnecessary hard π
Nope, just carving my own path. Nothing worth doing is ever easy, and nothing easy is worth doing
Chocolate. Chocolate is worth doing.
Vegan, so even chocolate is not easy π
