Another song of the day for you to ignore

Today’s song of the day is a trip-hop masterpiece by Screenatorium. Excellent chilled out beats, divine female vocals, and some quality hip-hop injections make this superb music to listen to either in the blazing sunshine or as rain spatters against your window pain.

What’s the best thing about it? Well the album (and Screenatorium’s entire back catalogue are available for free from Jamendo.com.

If you’re not familiar with Jamendo, it’s a website where artists can upload their music under a creative commons license, and people can grab it for free, and make a donation if they wish. Find out more about creative commons here: http://creativecommons.org/

I’d highly recommend creating a jamendo account, ditching all of your commercial music and going all out cc. Sure, there’s a lot of poor quality product, but there’s also so real gems in there, and free of the commercial trappings which often cripple artistic experimentation.

I think from now on all my songs of the day will be creative commons licensed tunes.
